About the position

Flint Hills Resources is seeking a Business Intelligence Analyst to join their team in Wichita, Kansas. This role is pivotal in driving operational excellence and enhancing business performance through data and technology. The analyst will collaborate with various internal stakeholders to identify data-driven opportunities and contribute to the company's business transformation journey.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal business and operational teams to identify data-driven business opportunities.
• Work with corporate data teams to make datasets from different sources widely accessible for business use.
• Utilize tools such as Alteryx to process and transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data.
• Develop new work processes to enhance data quality and availability objectives.
• Generate actionable insights and aid decision-making through the creation of Business Intelligence reports using tools like PowerBI or Tableau.
• Collaborate with IT/DT network teams to advance data pipeline and automation strategies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science/data analytics, business, statistics, mathematics, engineering or 3+ years relevant experience.
• Proficiency with Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate), Tableau, or Alteryx, Power Query Formula M, DAX.
• Experience in solution development, stakeholder communication, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in a petroleum refinery or chemical manufacturing facility.
• Experience with PI Vision or Seeq.
• Advanced knowledge of financial or ERP systems and databases.
• Experience within data programming languages like R, Python, SQL, Cypher, or API integration.
