Business Intelligence Analyst

About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst at PayPal will lead the development of dashboards that drive decision-making processes and strategic initiatives. This role requires strong analytical skills and experience in data visualization, focusing on translating complex data sets into actionable insights while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements by conducting interviews, workshops, and surveys to understand data needs.
• Design, develop, and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using tools like Tableau or Power BI.
• Analyze large datasets to identify trends, patterns, and insights for business decisions.
• Develop and document detailed business rules and data models for dashboard projects.
• Present findings and recommendations to senior leaders clearly and concisely.
• Provide training and support to end-users on dashboard utilization, including creating user guides and training materials.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience in business and/or data analysis.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau or Power BI.
• Proficiency in SQL for data extraction and transformation.
• Advanced skills in Excel, including macros and pivot tables.
• Experience with scripting languages like Python is preferred.
• Experience in database schema design is preferred.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Power Query and Power Pivot is a plus.
• A degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field is preferred but not required.
