About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst at Amica is responsible for utilizing analytical and quantitative skills to gather requirements, extract data, and create reports and visualizations that meet the needs of internal customers. This role involves leveraging data to uncover business opportunities and effectively presenting insights to stakeholders. The analyst will provide domain expertise based on a deep understanding of data, key performance indicators (KPIs), and business intelligence best practices, while working onsite at the Lincoln, RI corporate campus.

Responsibilities

• Gather requirements and extract data to produce reports and visualizations.
• Leverage data to gain insights into business opportunities and present findings to stakeholders.
• Provide domain expertise based on understanding of data and KPIs.
• Utilize analytical and problem-solving skills to drive business decisions.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, mathematics, data/analytics or a related field preferred or equivalent work experience.
• Experience using data to drive business decisions.
• Demonstrated success with data discovery, analytics, visualization, and business intelligence tools.
• Advanced skills in data literacy and knowledge of analytics best practices.
• Thorough knowledge of relational database theory and SQL.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and logical problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Basic understanding of data science platforms such as SAS, R, and Python.
