About the position

MTG is now looking for a Business Intelligence Analyst to take on a critical role in building up the central BI system as an integral part of our Hamburg-based team which collaborates regularly onsite from our subsidiary, InnoGames' offices. The team in Hamburg enables user acquisition, creative services, marketing tools and data warehousing/BI for our portfolio of gaming studios. You will engage with stakeholders from our portfolio companies all over the world to learn from their unique capabilities and provide your expertise in return. Deriving insights from the group data using your analytical expertise is a fundamental aspect of this role, which will inform both strategic and operational decisions for the executive and functional teams.

Responsibilities

  • Build up group-wide reporting in PowerBI for various stakeholders (Board of Directors, MTG executives, gaming company executives, functional teams) which provides insights into games, marketing, financials, etc.
  • Transform findings into python-based scripts that will model lifetime-value predictions and marketing allocations
  • Increase the abilities of our BI-system by implementing leading-edge technologies and integrating new data sources, in cooperation with our portfolio companies
  • Leverage data to increase the efficiency of marketing spend to enable campaign optimization
  • Advise internal portfolio companies pro-actively regarding their marketing campaigns, games successes, trends, etc.
  • Act as a subject matter expert to the local analytics teams within each portfolio company to help them improve internal capabilities
  • Design and conduct analysis on the efficiency of different marketing and product initiatives

Requirements

  • At least 3 years' experience in a similar role, ideally within e-Commerce or Entertainment
  • Proficiency in Python, SQL and PowerBI (Tableau optional)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with other departments and stakeholders
  • Flexibility to work across time zones occasionally and travel to portfolio companies as needed
  • Prior exposure to working cross-culturally and the ability to adapt to different styles of communication and work
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment where change is embraced
  • Fluent in English, both verbal and written.
