The Business Intelligence Analyst is responsible for creating, maintaining, and deploying all forms of reporting for internal customers. You will work collaboratively with the BI (Business Intelligence) Staff, other IT staff, and business stakeholders with the goal of delivering actionable data analytics. This position plays multiple roles including data architect, data modeler, SQL programmer, report writer, report designer, and project manager. Essential Functions include designing, building, and deploying business intelligence reports, self-service reports, and dashboards using a variety of front-end visualization tools such as Tableau, SSRS, and Crystal Reports. You will test and validate underlying report data, conveying the key insights or “story” the data reveals in a visual format that is grouped, summarized, or formatted to be easily consumed, understood, insightful, and actionable. You will also provide direction and guidance to other Business Intelligence Analysts, work with large, messy, disparate datasets, and conduct ad-hoc analyses to quickly inform critical business decisions. Additionally, you will create ETLs or processes that pull data from multiple places and centralize it in one data source, review and optimize existing queries written by other developers, and participate in innovative technology evaluation to ensure alignment of business unit data and analytics practices with enterprise data processes and practices. This role requires excellent communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally, as well as a proactive approach to continuous improvement efforts for all reports and their operation. This is a full-time position, on-site at Potter Headquarters, with a hybrid work format option after a thorough understanding of the Potter Global Technologies global network.
