About the position

The Business Intelligence Analyst at Princeton University plays a crucial role within the Data & Reporting team of the Data Strategy & Innovation department. This position focuses on managing, analyzing, and disseminating data to support the Advancement Office's strategies and relationships with donors and volunteers. The analyst will be responsible for high-quality data analysis, project management, and the presentation of complex data insights to inform strategic decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Develop business intelligence and analytic solutions to draw actionable insights from data.
• Utilize Tableau and predictive modeling tools to analyze and communicate complex data effectively.
• Conduct high-quality data analysis and prepare presentations to support analytics and strategic decision-making.
• Collaborate with the data warehousing team to maintain a reliable and innovative data environment.
• Work with business users to define outcomes and requirements for analyses and dashboards.
• Conduct end-user training in BI tools as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required.
• Proficiency in Tableau.
• Minimum of three years of professional experience in an analytical or research role.
• Excellent quantitative analysis skills and attention to detail.
• Demonstrated ability to use technology for data gathering and presentation.
• Strong written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Experience with database management and visualization tools like SQL and Cognos.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
