About the position
The Financial Analyst position is a contract-to-hire role within the Hi Tech Engineering industry, located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The Analyst will be responsible for analyzing financial data, preparing reports, and developing financial models and dashboards. This hybrid role requires close collaboration with various departments to ensure that financial forecasting and reporting align with the organization's goals.
Responsibilities
- Utilizing large data sets, setup KPI's and build out budgeting models
- Analyze subscription revenue, client profitability, and cost allocations to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
- Prepare financial reports to guide management in strategic decision-making.
- Develop and optimize financial models and dashboards in Power BI to offer real-time insights into key performance metrics.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to ensure accurate revenue recognition and financial reporting.
- Assist in the budgeting process, aligning it with organizational objectives.
- Engage in cost accounting activities, scrutinizing costs associated with products or services.
- Monitor financial performance against budgets and forecasts, pinpointing variances and trends.
- Maintain organized documentation of financial processes and reports for auditing purposes.
- Conduct regulatory reporting to guarantee compliance with financial regulations.
- Provide insights on sales performance, aiding in revenue growth strategies.
Requirements
- Proficiency in BusinessObjects Technologies is a must
- Demonstrable skills in Data Visualization are required
- Prior experience with Power BI is a must
- Knowledge and experience in AB Testing is necessary
- Proficient in Ad Hoc Reporting
- Familiarity with Agile Scrum methodologies
- Strong background in Analytics is a must
- Extensive knowledge of Business Intelligence (BI) is crucial
- Experience with Atlassian Jira is highly desirable
- Experience as an MSP (or other 3rd party provider) is a plus
