About the position
The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer Summer Intern at Affinius Capital will focus on creating reports and dashboards using Azure Synapse Data Warehouse and other data sources. This role involves collaboration with business users to develop meaningful insights and foster a data-driven culture within the organization.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with end-users to gather requirements and ensure reporting solutions effectively address their needs.
- Work with data engineers, data architects, analysts, and business stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and develop Power BI interactive reports, paginated reports, and dashboards.
- Leverage Power BI to collect data from multiple sources such as Excel, APIs, SQL, and SharePoint, developing visually compelling visualizations that convey key insights.
- Collaborate with team members to share best practices, provide technical guidance, and support the adoption of Power BI and other platform tools.
- Monitor and optimize the performance of business intelligence solutions.
- Exhibit strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication abilities to foster productive work relationships.
Requirements
- Pursuing a bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Nice-to-haves
- Familiarity with Power BI and Excel
- Familiarity in writing SQL queries, stored procedures, and DAX queries
- Great communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
- Good attention to detail and time-management skills
