In the role of Business Intelligence (BI) Developer specializing in Tableau, you will leverage your business acumen and statistical knowledge to analyze large datasets and deliver insightful, actionable results to both internal and external customers. You will be responsible for the entire end-to-end analytics solution, which includes backend data engineering, manipulation, and cleansing, as well as front-end data visualization. This position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to understand business questions and transform them into dashboard requirements and designs. You will also determine when additional data transformation and modeling are necessary and execute the development of data in Snowflake. Working in a highly regulated environment, you will adhere to established regulations and guidelines while effectively managing multiple assignments and competing priorities to ensure timely task completion. Your responsibilities will include identifying and correcting data errors in accordance with quality assurance and business procedures, creating interactive dashboards that present data in a digestible format, and generating standard and ad hoc reports to support business needs. You will perform data extraction, generate required queries, and provide status updates related to assigned projects to management. Additionally, you will assist in analyzing internal data to drive strategic decisions and objectives, create documentation on dashboard usage, monitor dashboard performance, and work with leadership to prioritize continuous improvement of existing dashboards and requests for new reports.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with internal and external customers to understand business questions and transform them into dashboard requirements and design.
• Determine when additional data transformation and modeling are required and execute on development of the data in Snowflake.
• Work in a highly regulated environment and adhere to all established regulations and guidelines.
• Effectively manage multiple assignments/competing priorities to ensure timely completion of tasks.
• Assist with identification and correction of data errors in accordance with quality assurance and business procedures.
• Create interactive dashboards with tables/graphs/charts that present data in a digestible format.
• Generate standard and ad hoc reports to support business needs.
• Perform extraction of data and generate required queries, reports, and dashboards as requested.
• Provide status updates related to assigned projects to management as necessary.
• Assist in analysis of internal data to drive strategic decisions and objectives.
• Create documentation on usage of the dashboards.
• Monitor usage and performance of internal and external dashboards and take corrective actions as necessary.
• Work with leadership to prioritize continuous improvement of existing dashboards and requests for additional dashboards and reports.

Requirements

• Expertise in Tableau development with knowledge of dashboard performance optimization techniques.
• Solid understanding of data management concepts including data processing, analysis, visualization, security, and discovery.
• Ability to perform data mapping, blending, and ETL design.
• Experience with SQL, PL/SQL, or SQL-based applications and ETL & Data modeling tools such as Fivetran, Matillion, Informatica, Alteryx, etc.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to data model, collect, organize, and analyze data; summarize findings and develop conclusions and recommendations.
• Core knowledge of transactional databases, with Key Value Pair Structure being a plus.
• Proficiency in Postgres.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills; comfortable presenting data visually that is informative, insightful, and easy to understand.
• Demonstrated high degree of initiative and ability to work collaboratively.
• Demonstrated ability to prioritize work, customers, and internal and external demands.
• Strong knowledge of best practices using Snowflake is a plus.
• Experience working with business teams to translate functional requirements into technical requirements.
• Minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in IT or related experience.
