About the position

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Forge Group, LLC is responsible for developing data visualizations and reporting solutions to support the Transportation Security Administration. This role involves integrating data from various sources, designing and deploying visualizations using Power BI, and collaborating with stakeholders to meet their reporting needs. The position emphasizes rapid prototyping and requires strong analytical skills to manage large datasets effectively.

Responsibilities

• Integrate and reconcile data from multiple sources, including SQL Services, Excel, PDF, JSON, and Parquet.
• Rapidly design, build, test and deploy visualizations primarily using Power BI desktop and Power BI service.
• Apply knowledge of SQL, DAX, and MDX to develop queries and manipulate data from relational, non-relational, and OLAP data sources.
• Partner with stakeholders to identify and analyze requirements that can be rapidly prototyped.
• Design, build, test, and deploy reporting modules using Azure, Power BI Premium, and SQL Server Analysis Services.
• Implement intuitive scorecards, dashboards, paginated reports, and KPIs using samples derived from a legacy BI system.

Requirements

• US Citizen
• Bachelor's degree in Business Analytics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related area, or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years' experience developing data visualization solutions with tools such as Microsoft Power BI Desktop and Power BI service.
• Strong familiarity and experience data-modelling using a mix of RDBMS, Excel, and disparate data-sources.
• Intermediate-level knowledge of SQL and DAX, Power Query, and PowerPivot.
• Intermediate to advanced experience and understanding of M365 analytics applications.
• Computing Environment (CE) PL-300 or related certification, with conditional acceptance if PL-300 is accomplished within 180 days of hire.
• Strong understanding of Scrum concepts and methodology.
• Experience with Jira, lucid, and SharePoint for collaboration and documentation.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
