About the position

The Business Intelligence (BI) Report Developer at Flanders Electric Motor Service Inc. is responsible for creating, updating, maintaining, and managing reports and dashboards to support data-driven decision-making. This role involves working with various data sources, including ERP databases, to ensure reliable reporting through data cleansing and normalization activities. The position requires collaboration with stakeholders to gather requirements and develop recommendations, as well as providing technical assistance and cross-training to team members.

Responsibilities

• Work with stakeholders to gather and document requirements.
• Develop recommendations to meet common goals.
• Develop and maintain business intelligence reports from various data sources including ERP databases.
• Test and troubleshoot reports to ensure accuracy and maintain data integrity.
• Document changes and assumptions.
• Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
• Provide technical assistance and cross training to other team members.

Requirements

• Education or training in business, finance, economics, or a relevant discipline, or equivalent related work experience.
• Skilled and familiar with SQL and VBA.
• Experience with data cleansing, data conversion, and ETL initiatives.
• Relevant data analysis, validation, testing, and impact analysis experience.
• Experience managing and interpreting large amounts of data.
• Proficiency with SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Self-starter with a strong work ethic and ability to see tasks to completion.
• General knowledge of statistical modeling and forecasting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and advanced experience with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Bachelor of Science (BS) in computer science, mathematics, or other STEM degrees.
• Two years of proficient experience with Cognos, Tableau, or Power BI.
• Experience with data warehouses, lakes, and lake houses.
• Experience with insightsoftware Jet Reports.
• Proficient with scripting languages, including JavaScript and Python.
• API and workflow automation development.

• Full-time position with competitive salary range of $78.7K - $99.6K per year.
