About the position

The Business Intelligence Data Analyst II at McLaren Health Care is responsible for the governance, extraction, normalization, reporting, and analytics of healthcare data. This role involves data manipulation, validation, and cleansing, as well as aggregating disparate data from various internal and external systems to develop meaningful reports that assist leadership in monitoring performance objectives. The analyst will design and develop data visualization solutions to communicate results effectively to key decision-makers, diving into large and complex healthcare data to produce innovative analyses of historical patterns and insights.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the importing, exporting, and mining of large healthcare data.
  • Aggregate disparate clinical and financial data in various formats.
  • Construct data queries or refresh data queries for staff to retrieve pertinent clinical or administrative data.
  • Resolve discrepancies with data and instill stakeholder confidence in reporting accuracy.
  • Develop reporting for data governance including trends and statistical analysis of data quality and integrity.
  • Recommend workflow processes and procedures to monitor timely and accurate receipt and transfer of data.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather business needs, establish project scope, manage timelines, and meet deadlines.
  • Develop data preparation and validation routines to support data mining.
  • Collaborate to define and create appropriate key performance indicators.
  • Create reports and dashboards for stakeholders.
  • Work independently and manage multiple projects.
  • Enhance knowledge of healthcare data and information technology.
  • Coordinate and oversee special projects as identified and assigned.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in data science, computer science, engineering, health informatics technology, or related field.
  • Three years' experience in data analytics with data mining or a Master's degree plus one year of experience.
  • One year of healthcare experience with data mining, data analysis, and reporting.
