About the position

The Business Intelligence & Database Manager will lead and coach staff to leverage data for business processes and reporting requirements, ensuring the company has the necessary databases and reporting tools for decision-making. This role involves designing and developing database structures and BI solutions primarily using the Microsoft Stack, collaborating with business teams to document requirements, and delivering applications, reports, and dashboards to support the company's data strategy.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design and architecture of enterprise Data Warehouse applications, ensuring adherence to coding and design standards.
• Collaborate with business teams to document requirements and deliver reports, dashboards, and BI solutions using tools such as SSRS and Power BI.
• Manage the entire lifecycle of Data Warehouse projects, including data sourcing, migration, quality, and performance tuning.
• Develop and automate self-service reporting solutions, ensuring consistency in reporting methodologies across business units.
• Act as a liaison between IT and business units, assessing data extraction, report generation, and troubleshooting operational issues related to data warehouse systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of experience in BI/DW lifecycle components, including ETL, DataMarts, Reporting, Dashboards, and Analytics.
• Strong expertise with Microsoft BI Stack, including SQL Server (2012/2014), SSIS, SSRS, SSAS, and Power BI, with hands-on experience in database design, Transact-SQL, and performance tuning.
• Proven ability to document business and technical requirements, translating them into actionable designs for development and implementation.
• Excellent communication, critical thinking, and analytical problem-solving skills, with prior leadership experience preferred.
