About the position

The BI Developer (Level 3) will play a crucial role in enhancing our reporting architecture and will be actively involved in the UX design, dashboard/application creation, and administration. This position requires a deep understanding of business intelligence processes and the ability to translate business requirements into technical specifications while ensuring adherence to best practices. The BI Developer will be responsible for determining suitable visualization techniques, verifying data integrity, and ensuring report accuracy. Additionally, the role involves assisting junior developers with report performance optimization techniques, thereby fostering a collaborative and productive team environment. In terms of responsibilities, the BI Developer will manage MicroStrategy administration tasks, which include performing upgrades, project deployment and migration, maintaining user and security filters, and monitoring usage. The candidate will also oversee the MicroStrategy BI project development lifecycle, which encompasses data modeling, designing the semantic layer, schema layer, and dimension modeling. The end-to-end implementation of Business Intelligence (BI) projects, including reports, cubes, interactive dashboards, and documents, will be a key focus area. The BI Developer will troubleshoot and tune SQL queries, conduct business user discussions for requirements gathering, and architect solutions for BI projects. Furthermore, the role includes training and mentoring team members and business users, ensuring knowledge transfer and skill development within the team.

Responsibilities

• Enhance reporting architecture and participate in UX design.

• Train and mentor team members and business users.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 to 4 years of experience as a BI Developer.
• Demonstrated experience with the full BI administration cycle.
• Experience with BI architecture including tables, attributes, facts, and hierarchies.
• Proficient in designing and developing reporting solutions.
• Experience with data mining, advanced analytics, and predictive analysis is a plus.
• Familiarity with advanced MicroStrategy features such as distribution services and mobile is a plus.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent is preferred.
• Good analytical, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Proactive attitude with a strong work ethic and good time management skills.
• Ability to work with diverse teams and lead meetings.
