About the position

Haskell is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer II to join our dynamic BI department in Frisco, TX. This role is pivotal in shaping our analytics capabilities and requires a deep understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data visualization. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will leverage Microsoft Fabric to build and enhance our Business Intelligence solutions, ensuring that our tools are scalable, robust, and capable of meeting the evolving needs of our business. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining BI solutions that improve decision-making and business processes across the organization. In this position, you will implement complex ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into a cohesive data warehouse structure. You will also ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards throughout all BI projects. Your role will involve creating advanced reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI, conducting data analysis to identify trends and insights, and collaborating closely with stakeholders to translate business needs into technical specifications. You will lead BI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives. Additionally, you will provide technical support and training to users on new and existing BI tools and systems. Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and robust BI solutions using Microsoft Fabric.
  • Implement complex ETL processes to integrate data from various sources into a cohesive data warehouse structure.
  • Ensure high performance of BI tools and scalability in data consumption.
  • Ensure adherence to data governance and quality standards throughout BI projects.
  • Create advanced reports and dashboards using Microsoft Power BI integrated with Microsoft Fabric.
  • Conduct data analysis to identify trends, patterns, and insights that can drive business decisions.
  • Work closely with stakeholders to understand data requirements and translate business needs into technical specifications.
  • Collaborate with IT and business units to enhance the overall BI strategy.
  • Recommend improvements to enhance performance, including new technologies and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest industry trends in Business Intelligence and data analytics.
  • Lead BI projects from inception to completion, ensuring timely delivery and alignment with business objectives.
  • Provide technical support and training to users on new and existing BI tools and systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of relevant experience in Business Intelligence development.
  • Strong experience in data visualization with Microsoft Power BI.
  • Strong experience in Power BI Report Building (former SSRS).
  • Strong skills in SQL and database management, with a solid understanding of data warehousing principles.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform complex data analysis and develop insightful reports and dashboards.
  • Experience with programming languages (Python, R) for data analysis is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of successfully collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Nice-to-haves

  • PL-300 - Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate is required.
  • DP-600 - Fabric Analytics Engineer Associate is highly desirable.
  • Experience in Azure Databrick is a plus.
  • Experience in Boomi Integration is a plus.
