About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining decision intelligence solutions and data analytics platforms within the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to analyze requests, formulate working requirements, and deliver visualizations that empower users to access necessary information and foster a data-driven culture.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain decision intelligence solutions and data analytics platforms.
• Analyze requests from stakeholders and translate them into functional requirements.
• Deliver visualizations and solutions to enable users to access information effectively.
• Run complex SQL queries and manage data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) processes.
• Collaborate with end-user departments to understand business needs and provide accurate solutions.
• Participate in code reviews and adhere to best practices and compliance requirements.
• Conduct ad hoc reporting and execute queries as needed.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Math, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of experience writing performant SQL, including experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.
• Experience working in an Agile project management environment (SCRUM, Kanban).
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Strong communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Symitar Episys.
• Experience in the financial industry or with financial institutions.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and tools such as DataStage, Informatica, or SSIS.
• Experience with SQL Server and SSRS.
• Familiarity with Snowflake (Cloud data platform).
• Experience with Arkalytics and data modeling architecture.
