About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining decision intelligence solutions and data analytics platforms within the Enterprise Data Warehouse environment. This role involves collaborating with stakeholders to analyze requests, formulate working requirements, and deliver visualizations that empower users to access necessary information and foster a data-driven culture. The ideal candidate will possess strong SQL skills, knowledge of relational databases, and experience with data visualization tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain decision intelligence solutions and data analytics platforms.
• Analyze requests and translate them into working requirements for stakeholders.
• Deliver visualizations and solutions to enable users to access information effectively.
• Run complex SQL queries with multiple joins and manage relational database concepts.
• Evaluate, design, develop, test, implement, and maintain ETL strategies.
• Participate in code reviews to ensure code validation and knowledge sharing.
• Craft and execute ad hoc queries upon request for data.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in MIS, Computer Science, Finance, Math, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• 3 years of experience writing performant SQL.
• 1 year of experience utilizing a data visualization tool such as Tableau, PowerBI, or Qlik.
• Experience working within an Agile project management environment.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and tasks simultaneously.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to interact with a wide range of stakeholders.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working with Symitar Episys.
• Experience in the finance industry or with financial institutions.
• Knowledge of ETL concepts and strategies using tools like DataStage, Informatica, or SSIS.
• Experience with SQL Server and SSRS.
• Knowledge of Snowflake (Cloud data platform).
• Experience with Arkalytics.
• Knowledge of data modeling architecture and design.
