About the position

The LumberTrack Business Intelligence Developer will be responsible for utilizing LumberTrack system tools to build complex database queries and scripts that integrate data from multiple sources. This role involves creating reporting solutions and providing support to the Professional Services team during customer implementations. The developer will adapt LumberTrack product capabilities to meet specific customer business needs and work closely with other team members to deliver effective solutions to Epicor LumberTrack clients. Communication with clients and team members is crucial to ensure that requirements are clearly understood and met. In addition to technical skills, the role requires leading the installation and training of peripheral components of LumberTrack projects, including TagTrack, Handhelds, EDI, FiberTrack, and Cubes. The developer will also need to communicate proactively with the Project Manager to mitigate risks related to budgets and timelines. On-site assistance during go-live events is expected, and the developer will recommend custom BI solutions that help clients achieve their business goals. The ideal candidate will have a strong ability to meet utilization targets and complete project deliverables on time. They should be capable of performing work plans, identifying resource requirements, establishing priorities, and monitoring the performance of project tasks. Proven success in software project implementation and deployment, along with strong troubleshooting skills, is essential. Experience in writing SQL queries and working with SSRS is required, as well as familiarity with lumber industry terms and processes. The position may require up to 25% overnight travel throughout North America.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience working with SQL databases.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business or Computer Science (or equivalent work experience).
  • Proven success in software project implementation and deployment.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills.
  • Experience writing SQL queries.
  • Experience working with SSRS.
  • Familiarity with lumber industry terms and processes.
  • Ability to meet utilization targets and complete project deliverables on time.
  • Ability to perform work plans, identify resource requirements, establish priorities, and monitor project tasks.
