About the position

As a Business Intelligence Developer at Mathis Home, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining Business Intelligence solutions using Power BI. This position requires a strong understanding of data modeling and analytics, as you will be responsible for architecting scalable and efficient data models that leverage DAX for sophisticated calculations and aggregations. You will transform and integrate data using Power Query and Dataflows, ensuring that the data is not only accurate but also optimized for performance. Your role will involve crafting visually compelling dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights to stakeholders. You will implement and enforce data governance policies specific to Power BI solutions, ensuring that data integrity and security are maintained. Additionally, you will establish role-based access controls within Power BI to manage user permissions effectively. Collaboration is key in this role, as you will support client directors and managers with a high-level, cross-functional focus. You will deliver high-quality, senior executive-level deliverables and coordinate with other internal developers and external teams to support the development of success metrics. This position is fully on-site in Oklahoma City, with a schedule of Monday to Friday, 8 AM to 5 PM.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain Business Intelligence Solutions using Power BI.
• Architect scalable and efficient data models in Power BI, leveraging DAX to create sophisticated calculations and aggregations.
• Transform and integrate data using Power Query and Dataflows.
• Design and optimize DAX expressions for calculated columns, measures, and calculated tables to ensure efficient and accurate data modeling.
• Craft visually compelling dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights, utilizing DAX for advanced analytics and calculations.
• Implement and enforce data governance policies specific to Power BI solutions.
• Establish role-based access controls within Power BI to manage user permissions effectively.
• Support client directors/managers with high-level, cross-functional focus and assistance.
• Deliver high quality, senior executive-level deliverables.
• Coordinate and cross collaborate with other internal developers and external teams to support the development of success metrics.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
• Proficiency in Power BI and DAX for data modeling and analytics.
• Ability to create tables and write reports based on findings.
• Strong communication skills to convey complex information in an understandable way.
• Ability to work on projects with minimal guidance and assume responsibility for their success.
• Diligent work ethic and discipline to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency in written, communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data governance policies and role-based access controls in Power BI.
• Familiarity with Power Query and Dataflows for data transformation and integration.
