The Senior Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for building and maintaining business intelligence reports and dashboards that support the organization in creating and maintaining meaningful reports and analyses aligned with key business metrics. This role involves close collaboration with key business stakeholders to devise innovative methods for measuring and predicting future business performance, as well as uncovering insights that can inform management decisions. The position may also provide supervision to Business Intelligence Developer I & II, ensuring that the team operates effectively and efficiently. In this role, the Senior Business Intelligence Developer will plan and coordinate projects with various areas of responsibility, working with external entities to translate business requirements into actionable stories, tasks, and subtasks. The developer will resolve problems and provide technical evaluations and recommendations, attending status, design, and implementation meetings with IT staff and other department personnel. Responsibilities include designing, developing, publishing, and scheduling reports and dashboards to meet business requirements, as well as conducting unit testing of various components of BI projects while adhering to architectural requirements for maintainability and scalability. The developer will design, code, test, document, and implement visualizations, reports, and dashboards, ensuring compliance with defined business requirements and best practices in the software development life cycle (SDLC). Additionally, the role involves applying system updates and patches, maintaining program customization details, and facilitating processes to ensure data continuity. The Senior Business Intelligence Developer will lead, direct, and support the work of the Business Intelligence (BI) team, working closely with end-users and other technical employees to resolve any errors and maintenance issues. Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
