About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Henry Ford Health is responsible for implementing a comprehensive program to extract, analyze, and report data to various stakeholders. This role involves generating reports, developing tools, and providing consultative support to enhance the data-driven culture within the organization. The developer will work collaboratively with operational stakeholders and service line leaders to understand data needs and deliver actionable insights.

Responsibilities

  • Extract and analyze data to generate reports and provide actionable insights.
  • Develop tools and automate reporting processes to support business initiatives.
  • Collaborate with leaders and teams to understand data solutions that can positively impact operations.
  • Consult, design metrics, and build solutions as needed for various stakeholders.
  • Document process flows and ensure accuracy and quality of data solutions.
  • Provide end-user training on existing tools and resources.
  • Participate in educational webinars to stay updated on healthcare developments.
  • Guide customers through the report request process and fulfill assigned requests.
  • Serve as a liaison between Analytics and business leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Healthcare, Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics/Statistics, Business, or Applied Science.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a Healthcare or Business setting.
  • Experience in SQL, advanced Excel, report building, and tool development.
  • Knowledge of Relational Databases and Data Visualizations.
  • Familiarity with Electronic Medical Record (EMR) report development and functionality.
  • Understanding of fundamental Computer Programming concepts and Source Code Management (Git).
  • Experience with Business Intelligence tools such as Tableau, Cognos, Power BI, or similar.
