About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Johns Hopkins Medicine will support the Office of Public Health by focusing on data analytics, performance measures, data collection, reporting, and data visualization. This role involves developing and refining IT solutions, including coding, testing, and implementing business intelligence solutions to enhance decision-making capabilities within the organization.

Responsibilities

• Support the Office of Public Health with data analytics and performance measures.
• Develop and fine-tune exploratory IT solutions including coding, testing, and debugging.
• Research and plan analytic solutions for existing and new problems as directed by leadership.
• Lead the strategic design and maintenance of business intelligence tools.
• Identify, research, and resolve technical problems independently.
• Ensure business intelligence applications enhance clinical and business decision-making capabilities.
• Work on advanced technical projects requiring state-of-the-art knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in healthcare IT, analytics, software development, or data management.
• Previous experience with Epic, Caboodle, and Clarity is very strongly preferred.
• EDW internal certification required within 6 months.
• Certification such as Certified Analytics Professional, project management, or a certification in a data analytic tool such as Epic required.
• Ability to obtain Epic Caboodle or Clarity Certification as requested in the first year.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree strongly preferred.
