About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer role at Robert Half involves designing, developing, implementing, and supporting critical business intelligence applications. The position requires a detail-oriented individual who can transform raw data into meaningful reports and dashboards, assisting users in their decision-making processes.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain business intelligence solutions, transforming raw data into meaningful reports and dashboards.
• Conduct troubleshooting of BI models.
• Develop and manage BI applications and software infrastructure to assist users in their decision-making process.
• Analyze systems and present data findings in a way that business stakeholders can easily understand.
• Collaborate with teams to integrate systems and implement and maintain databases.
• Conduct unit tests and develop database queries to analyze performance and ensure data quality.
• Utilize BI and data tools (SQL queries, SSRS, Power BI) to provide analytics.
• Develop, organize, and maintain user reports to enhance their ease of use and understanding.
• Gather and respond to user requirements in relation to their data needs and ensure that appropriate and accurate data sets are available.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
• Proficiency in BI technologies (e.g. Microsoft Power BI, Oracle BI).
• Knowledge of SQL queries, SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS), and SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
• Background in data warehouse design and data mining.
• Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with different teams and stakeholders.
• Experience in data preprocessing and familiarity with machine learning algorithms is a plus.
• Ability to present complex data in a simple, comprehensible manner.
