About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Victory Capital plays a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights that support the organization's strategic goals. This position involves collaborating with various teams to develop innovative business intelligence solutions, utilizing both traditional and modern analytic tools to address business challenges. The developer will create visualizations, craft insights, and contribute to data products that enhance client experiences and identify business opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Communicate data driven solutions and analytical results through compelling, clear visualizations.
• Simplify and present complex concepts to a non-technical audience.
• Collaborate with interdepartmental team members including business analysts, data engineers and data scientists to deliver best-in-class solutions.
• Develop concise analyses quantifying the impact of key business initiatives using various data sources.
• Develop technical documentation that includes architecture diagrams, process flow diagrams, and prototypes to effectively communicate design ideas.
• Respond to ad hoc requests, quickly applying efficient SQL queries or python notebooks.
• Contribute to the roadmap for business intelligence and data transformation solutions for the team.

Requirements

• 5 or more years' experience in business intelligence, database management, ETL Development or related experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
• Proficiency in PowerBI and providing robust business intelligence reports connecting to distinct cloud databases.
• Highly proficient in writing SQL queries and python from scratch that combine data from several sources to the correct format for further analysis, visualization, or reporting.
• Create rich data visualizations to communicate complex ideas to leaders and make data-driven stories come to life through visuals.
• Understand the bigger picture to identify opportunities to provide solutions to complex business challenges.
• Able to conduct requirement gathering, user testing, and final state presentations.
• Able to optimize queries, deploy into production, and manage change control.
