About the position

The Business Intelligence (BI) Developer at Easterseals Midwest is responsible for transforming organizational data into actionable insights that inform decision-making and strategic objectives. This role involves designing, developing, deploying, and maintaining BI interfaces, including data visualization tools and reporting software, to enhance data-driven decision-making across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Plan, create, and implement BI software and systems, integrating with databases and data warehouses.
  • Develop dashboards, reports, and visualizations to present complex data in an understandable format.
  • Assist stakeholders in identifying important trends and insights from data.
  • Create and manage data models to ensure data accuracy and relevance for analysis.
  • Oversee data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) from various sources into a usable form for business analysis.
  • Manage databases, ensuring their performance, reliability, and security.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data used for analysis.
  • Implement data governance policies and practices.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand their data needs and translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Gather requirements and provide advice on data utilization, ensuring BI solutions meet stakeholder needs.
  • Provide support and training to users on BI tools and data analytics.
  • Perform regular maintenance and updates to existing BI solutions to enhance functionality and incorporate new data sources.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent combination of education and work experience.
  • 2-4 years of related experience in data warehouse modeling or BI data management.
  • Knowledge of BI tools and data warehouses such as Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, Power BI, Tableau, etc.
  • Experience with ETL tools and processes.
  • Proficiency in development languages and frameworks such as SQL, Python, HTML, Java, and JavaScript.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with PowerShell.
