GreatAmerica Financial Services is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Data Analytics & Insights Group. This role is pivotal in the design, delivery, and optimization of analytical dashboards and reporting solutions that will be utilized for both explanatory and exploratory analytics across the enterprise. The successful candidate will work closely with internal stakeholders to identify key business questions and decisions that need to be addressed, ensuring that the dashboards delivered drive significant business outcomes. The dashboards may vary in focus, serving strategic, operational, or tactical needs depending on specific business requirements. In addition to dashboard development, the Business Intelligence Developer will play a crucial role in supporting data democratization efforts within the organization. This includes delivering self-service BI solutions and providing support to the internal analytics community. The position requires a strong emphasis on designing and delivering enterprise-level BI solutions, utilizing tool-agnostic data visualization best practices. The developer will partner with business stakeholders and analysts to define, develop, and deliver domain-specific BI solutions that surface insights necessary for making critical business decisions. Collaboration is key in this role, as the Business Intelligence Developer will work with subject matter experts and the data engineering team to create ad hoc queries and enterprise-level data marts that support recurring analysis and self-service capabilities. The role also involves direct interaction with external customers to design, deliver, and maintain customer-facing self-service online reporting portals. Ensuring high availability and accuracy of deliverables on the enterprise BI platform, particularly using Tableau, is a critical responsibility. The developer will also partner with technical teams to inform changes to source system data structures and identify impacts on downstream BI products. Promoting a data-driven culture throughout GreatAmerica is essential, and participation in a data champion community for knowledge and best practice sharing is expected.
