About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer (BID) plays a crucial role in developing data solutions and reports that assist business teams in making informed decisions. Utilizing complex T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services, the BID aims to enhance the organization's data capabilities and support its mission of improving community health and wellness.

Responsibilities

• Creates processes and leads projects aimed at developing new data solutions and Operational Data Store (ODS).
• Builds methods to gather, process, analyze, and publish BI data from multiple sources using Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS).
• Builds ETL processes to convert pre-defined data solutions into Data Marts for the enhancement of the Enterprise Data Warehouse using the Kimball methodology.
• Provides post-Go Live support to identify data quality issues and implement required fixes.
• Mentors the Business Intelligence team to develop an understanding of the project development cycle and identify automation solutions.
• Collaborates with Report Developers and Report Liaisons to develop visual representations including self-service reports.
• Provides management with project status updates and prepares monthly project scorecard reports.
• Maintains professional and technical knowledge through workshops, publications, and networking.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or 7-10 years of experience in the IT field.
• Minimum of 7-10 years hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Integrated Services (SSIS).
• Experience with Visual Studios Data Tools and Relational Databases.
• Proficiency in complex T-SQL language.
• Minimum of five years hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS).
• Experience in all stages of the project development cycle.

Nice-to-haves

• Microsoft Certifications
• Experience with analytical report/dashboard tools like Pyramid Analytics, Power BI, or Tableau.
• Knowledge of Analytics/OLAP Cube and Tabular Models tools.
• Experience with Microsoft SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS) and MDX query language.
• EPIC Certifications in Tapestry Modules.
• Experience with cloud data warehouse platforms.
• Knowledge of Azure Data & Analytics PaaS Services.
