About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at SAC Health is responsible for creating reports, visualizations, dashboards, and metrics that provide business insights and support decision-making processes. This role involves utilizing SQL, R, Python, Tableau, and Excel to analyze data and deliver actionable insights, particularly in the outpatient clinic context. The developer collaborates with various stakeholders to understand objectives and KPIs, ensuring that business intelligence solutions align with clinic operations and goals.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, enhance, and maintain Tableau reports and dashboards tailored to outpatient clinic operations.
• Provide data extracts from electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant sources specific to outpatient clinic workflows.
• Develop SQL scripts and stored procedures to populate analytics datasets and data lake, focusing on outpatient clinic performance metrics.
• Collaborate with healthcare providers and administrators to understand outpatient clinic workflows and data requirements.
• Analyze outpatient clinic data to identify trends, patterns, and opportunities for process improvement.
• Respond to users' inquiries concerning business intelligence requests for outpatient clinic operations.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support data-driven decision-making in outpatient clinic operations.
• Provide training and support to outpatient clinic staff on using business intelligence tools.
• Participate in meetings and presentations with outpatient clinic stakeholders to communicate findings and recommendations.
• Contribute to technical knowledge of the team through documentation and knowledge transfer.
• Support ad-hoc data analysis and reporting requests from outpatient clinic stakeholders.
• Continuously evaluate and optimize business intelligence solutions and processes.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience as a Business Intelligence Developer in healthcare analytics, specifically in outpatient settings.
• Bachelor of Science in Information Technology or related field preferred.
• Strong command of SQL scripting and stored procedures for data manipulation and analysis.
• Advanced proficiency in business intelligence tools like Tableau.
• Effective communication skills for collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting complex data and solving problems.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with data modeling and analytics methodologies specific to healthcare settings.
• Ability to work independently and assume a team lead role for complex technical and business matters.
