About the position

As a Business Intelligence Developer at Harvest Strategy Group, you will play a crucial role in developing robust analytics dashboard frameworks that monitor key metrics across the organization. Your primary responsibility will be to provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to department heads and executive leadership, fostering business enhancements. You will engage closely with various stakeholders throughout the organization to pinpoint business needs and opportunities, converting these requirements into technical specifications and effective BI solutions. In addition to developing dashboards, you will assist with planned report migration activities, particularly focusing on existing report conversion, mapping, revision, and redeployment. You will generate reports and present findings to stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, often including actionable recommendations based on data insights. Your role will also involve interpreting data findings to answer specific business questions or solve problems, helping stakeholders understand the implications of the data analysis on business strategies. Utilizing predictive modeling techniques, you will forecast future trends or outcomes based on historical data, contributing to forecasting and actual-to-expected analysis. You will be responsible for identifying data inconsistencies and inaccuracies, working with the Vendor Data Specialist and others to resolve data quality issues. As the operations point of contact for interfacing with IT and external data warehouse expertise, you will ensure effective design and production activities. Continuous learning is essential in this role, as you will keep pace with industry trends and advancements in BI tools and methodologies, proposing and implementing upgrades and innovations in BI processes and technologies. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including Agency Recovery, Legal Recovery, Operations, Accounting, and IT, will be key to understanding their reporting needs. You will also be expected to handle data responsibly and ethically, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations and safeguarding sensitive information. Your problem-solving skills will be put to the test as you apply critical thinking to address complex business challenges using data-driven solutions. Additionally, you will maintain system documentation, develop job aids, and provide end-user training and troubleshooting support.

Responsibilities

  • Develop robust analytics dashboard frameworks to monitor key metrics across the organization.
  • Provide actionable insights and data-driven recommendations to department heads and executive leadership.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of Microsoft Power BI/stack experience or similar technology.
  • 3+ years of experience with databases - data modeling or similar data modeling skills.
  • 3+ years of experience building Power BI or similar reporting software reports and dashboards with a strong design aesthetic.
  • BS in computer science or information systems or equivalent work experience.
  • Ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
  • Ability to communicate with business as well as technical teams.
  • Ability to learn and quickly respond to rapidly changing business environment.
  • Ability to apply experience and knowledge to future solution considerations.
  • Analytical and problem-solving mindset and approach.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Proficient in MS Office (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, and Co-Pilot).
  • Good communication (oral and written), people, and presentation skills.
  • Technical Microsoft Power BI Certifications a plus.
  • Experience with ChatGPT and other AI programs a plus.
  • Experience in financial services or accounts receivable management industry a plus.
