About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer role involves collaborating with data engineers to integrate and clean data from various sources into BI platforms. The developer will create interactive reports and dashboards, design data models, optimize performance, and ensure data security and compliance. This position requires strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with data scientists and analysts to meet their data needs.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with data engineers to acquire, clean, and integrate data from various sources into BI platforms.
  • Create interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards using BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).
  • Design and maintain data models, ensuring data accuracy and consistency for reporting and analytics.
  • Identify and implement performance improvements in BI solutions to enhance speed and efficiency.
  • Develop intuitive data visualizations that effectively communicate complex information to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Work closely with Data Scientists and Analysts to understand their requirements and provide the necessary data infrastructure and tools.
  • Document data sources, processes, and solutions to ensure knowledge sharing and maintainable systems.
  • Ensure data security, privacy, and compliance with relevant regulations (e.g., GDPR).
  • Provide training and support to end-users, empowering them to utilize BI tools effectively.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (Master's preferred).
  • Minimum 5+ years of proven experience as a BI Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in BI tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
  • Strong SQL skills for data extraction and manipulation.
  • Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and ETL processes (AWS preferred).
  • Excellent communication, strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Knowledge of automotive industry data is a plus.

Nice-to-haves

  • Tableau Desktop Specialist certification
  • Working experience on Tableau for at least 3+ years.
  • Experience in data modeling and querying per the requirements.
