As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our client's information reporting systems. This position is designed for a full-time, long-term, remote contract, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the organization's strategic data initiatives. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient data storage and management, which is vital for the organization's operational success. In this role, you will collaborate with various teams to provide innovative solutions and recommendations for database management and improvement opportunities. You will be responsible for developing and implementing a long-term strategy for data storage and management, which includes designing, maintaining, and enhancing SQL database objects such as stored procedures and functions. Addressing and resolving database performance issues will be a key part of your responsibilities, ensuring system reliability and optimal performance. You will also construct and manage data warehouses, integrating necessary business rules, and document processes to create reference materials and maintain workflow documentation for system operations. Monitoring industry trends in database systems will be essential to inform strategic planning and provide expert advice. Additionally, you will estimate project timelines and resource requirements for database-related tasks, utilize tools like KACE and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for organizational request management, and offer technical support for IT projects while providing training to IT staff as needed. Your role will require you to explore and assess new technologies and tools for potential adoption and development improvements, working autonomously while demonstrating effective communication and documentation skills. Supporting the evolution of Informatics functional architecture and system designs to fulfill organizational needs will also be part of your duties, along with performing additional tasks to support the Informatics and IT teams.
