About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer role is a hybrid position that requires the candidate to work on-site in Newark, OH, Orlando, FL, or Miami, FL for three days a week (Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday) and allows for remote work on Thursdays and Fridays. This position is crucial for expanding the capabilities of business intelligence within the organization. The successful candidate will lead efforts to identify and demonstrate new tools and techniques that can be implemented to add value to the organization. A deep understanding of bank processes is essential, as the developer will apply this knowledge to create innovative solutions that enhance operational efficiency. The role involves developing and maintaining strong cross-channel relationships to positively influence the strategic technology planning process. The Business Intelligence Developer will design, create, and distribute operational and strategic dashboards that track and measure organizational performance. This includes offering data-driven decisions based on historical trends and supporting strategic decisions through prescriptive analytics. The developer will gather and analyze business and user reporting requirements, translating them into outputs that align with the organization's master data management strategy. Additionally, the position requires designing and supporting data warehouses that facilitate complex multi-dimensional data analysis and reporting. The developer will provide support and consultation for the development of scripts to be integrated into banking applications and will promote the master data management strategy to ensure a single authoritative reference for the organization's data assets. Training for new and existing Business Intelligence associates is also a key responsibility. The role demands extensive knowledge in SQL reporting and experience with enterprise reporting tools such as Tableau or Power BI. The developer will also participate in risk management activities and ensure compliance with the bank's policies and procedures while delivering high-quality service.

Responsibilities

  • Lead efforts to expand the capabilities of business intelligence by identifying and demonstrating new tools and techniques.
  • Acquire and demonstrate an exceptional understanding of bank processes and apply this knowledge to create innovative solutions.
  • Develop and maintain strong cross-channel relationships to positively influence the strategic technology planning process.
  • Design, create, and distribute operational and strategic dashboards to track and measure organizational performance.
  • Gather and analyze business/user reporting and data workflow requirements, translating them into actionable outputs.
  • Design and support data warehouses for complex multi-dimensional data analysis and reporting.
  • Provide support and consultation for the development of scripts for banking applications.
  • Promote the master data management strategy to ensure a single authoritative point of reference for data assets.
  • Design and provide training to new and existing Business Intelligence associates.
  • Participate in identifying, measuring, monitoring, controlling, and mitigating departmental and enterprise-wide risks.
  • Maintain awareness of and adherence to compliance requirements and risk management policies.
  • Deliver a consistent, high level of service within the organization's standards.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2-year Associate degree in IT, Computer Programming, Computer Science, or a related discipline required.
  • 2+ years of experience in the Business Intelligence field.
  • Basic programming skills in scripting languages related to reporting software.
  • Experience with SQL and hands-on experience with IBM Cognos, Microsoft Business Intelligence stack, IBM DB2, Snowflake, or other Relational Management Database Systems.
