About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at ChenMed plays a crucial role in transforming data into actionable insights through the development and maintenance of BI systems. This position involves close collaboration with business units and technical teams to create reports, dashboards, and tools that enhance decision-making across the organization. The ideal candidate will possess strong data management skills and the ability to communicate effectively with internal clients, ensuring the quality and integrity of data used in various business processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop a deep familiarity with a variety of data sources including transactional databases, data warehouses, internal tools, and external integrations.
• Develop reports, dashboards, and tools using Power BI, SQL, Python, SSRS, and QlikSense, as well as other tools.
• Take ownership of data quality and integrity; proactively identify issues and coordinate the implementation of required fixes.
• Partner with business stakeholders to understand their requirements and assist in the development of tailored dashboards and visualizations.
• Document existing processes, architectures, and code.
• Assist, mentor, and instruct lower-level developers and analysts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned and modified at manager's discretion.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; additional experience above the minimum required may substitute for education on a year-for-year basis.
• A minimum of 2 years of ETL and/or SQL development experience.
• A minimum of 2 years' RDBMS experience (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake etc.).
• A minimum of 2 years of reporting and analytic tools experience (Power BI, SSRS, QlikSense etc.).
• Proven experience working with business units; gathering their needs and creating solutions.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA, MHA, MPA or advanced degree in area related to information sciences, analytics, health care management or public health preferred.
• Experience in query tuning and database engine optimization desired.
• Experience in database programming, stored procedures, data imports and exports desired.
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
