About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer role at Apple focuses on the architecture, development, maintenance, and support of the Business Intelligence team's web site and related data visualization tools. This position is crucial for delivering key metrics and information to the Information Security organization, requiring both individual initiative and collaborative teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the BI team's web site and web-based data visualization tools.
• Collaborate with partner teams, such as SRE, for site hosting and managing CI/CD pipelines.
• Work with Data Engineers and Analysts to deliver and maintain metrics.
• Validate the technical feasibility of proposed features.
• Create and enhance web-based data visualizations and analytical tools.
• Implement integrations with existing tools and platforms to extend functionality.
• Ensure site availability and address critical issues.
• Learn and adapt to new technologies as needed.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in web development.
• 2+ years of experience using HighCharts for data visualizations.
• Experience with developing websites using design systems and React component libraries.
• 3+ years of professional experience with JavaScript, TypeScript, CSS, and React, including Next.js.
• Experience with MongoDB, including Mongoose schemas and performance tuning.
• Familiarity with AWS SDK and CI/CD pipelines.
• Ability to troubleshoot production web application issues independently.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience working in an Information Security domain.
• Proficiency with Python.
• Strong understanding of ETL concepts and tools.
• Experience implementing site traffic reporting and analytics.
• Experience using D3 for data visualizations.
• Knowledge of open source software in corporate environments.
