About the position

Alliant Health Solutions is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support its business intelligence and analytic needs. The role involves creating accurate, reliable, and timely information through advanced data visualization dashboards and reporting using platforms such as Power BI, Databricks, and QuickSight. The developer will be responsible for developing and maintaining database architecture (ETL) for loading data from multiple sources into an enterprise structure data layer, automating the process using Azure Data Factory, Databricks, and SQL Server Management Studio (SSMS). The ideal candidate will support enterprise business intelligence and analytics needs, develop new dashboards and reports, and maintain existing data reporting systems. In this position, the developer will design, develop, manage, and maintain reports in Power BI, Databricks, and QuickSight. They will write and maintain documentation of ETL processes and develop ETL processes for loading data from various sources, including Salesforce and APIs, into an enterprise structure data layer. The role also requires creating Power BI reports that restrict access based on user login tokens, analyzing code for problem resolution and performance optimization, and understanding the principles of relational database development. The developer will build data sets, views, and procedures in a relational database such as SQL Server. Additionally, the Business Intelligence Developer will promote core values of teamwork, professionalism, effective communication, and positive behavior while maintaining the security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA laws and company policies. They will also follow the company code of ethics and perform other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Support enterprise business intelligence and analytics needs.
• Develop new dashboards and reports per analytic needs.
• Design, develop, manage, and maintain Power BI, Databricks, and QuickSight reports.
• Write and maintain documentation of ETL processes.
• Develop and maintain ETL processes for loading data from multiple data sources into an enterprise structure data layer.
• Create Power BI reports that restrict access based on user login tokens.
• Use Azure Data Factory and Databricks to pull data and run ETL processes.
• Analyze code for problem resolution and performance optimization.
• Build data sets, views, and procedures in a relational database such as SQL Server.
• Promote core values of teamwork, professionalism, effective communication skills, and positive behavior.
• Maintain security and confidentiality of all information in accordance with HIPAA laws, regulations, and company policies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, business, data analytics, or a statistically based discipline such as economics or statistics.
• Two or more years of experience performing data visualization and ETL within the past five years.
• Proficiency using Microsoft reporting tools and technologies, including SSMS and Azure Data Factory.
• Proficiency creating Power BI Dashboards using advanced techniques such as DAX queries.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in computer science, business, or data analytics.
• Proficiency in QuickSight reporting and additional coding languages such as Python or R.
• Experience using Apps such as Logic App or Microsoft Power Apps.
• Experience creating maps in either ArcGIS or Power BI.
