About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at ChenMed is responsible for developing, improving, and maintaining business intelligence systems. This role involves transforming data into actionable insights through metrics, automated reports, and dashboards, thereby enhancing decision-making across the organization. The developer will collaborate closely with business units and technical teams, ensuring data quality and integrity while mentoring junior developers and analysts.

Responsibilities

• Develop familiarity with various data sources including transactional databases and data warehouses.
• Create reports, dashboards, and tools using Power BI, SQL, Python, SSRS, and QlikSense.
• Take ownership of data quality and integrity, proactively identifying and resolving issues.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to understand requirements and develop tailored solutions.
• Document existing processes, architectures, and code.
• Assist and mentor lower-level developers and analysts as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree required; additional experience may substitute for education.
• Minimum of 2 years of ETL and/or SQL development experience.
• Minimum of 2 years of RDBMS experience (MySQL, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Snowflake, etc.).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience with reporting and analytic tools (Power BI, SSRS, QlikSense, etc.).
• Proven experience working with business units to gather needs and create solutions.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.

Nice-to-haves

• MBA, MHA, MPA, or advanced degree in information sciences, analytics, healthcare management, or public health preferred.
• Experience in query tuning and database engine optimization desired.
• Experience in database programming, stored procedures, data imports, and exports desired.
• Experience in the healthcare industry preferred.
