About the position

We are seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our Firm. Within this position, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and operational reporting in support of management decision making. This position will be based in our White Plains office and has a hybrid in-office/remote working schedule. Please note that the Firm will not sponsor applicants for work visas for this position. As the Business Intelligence Developer, you will design, build, and deploy business intelligence solutions such as reports, visualizations, and dashboards. You will collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders, to align solutions with business objectives and technical requirements. Your role will involve developing and executing database queries and conducting analyses, automating and optimizing data retrieval processes, and developing specifications and prototypes based on business requirements. You will lead efforts to analyze and optimize report performance, help manage reports and information distribution to stakeholders, and ensure data quality and integrity. Staying current with the latest methods and technologies as they relate to business intelligence and reporting, including trends in Artificial Intelligence, is essential. You will demonstrate effective interpersonal, written, and spoken communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships, manage Firm resources responsibly, and comply with and understand Firm operations, policies, and procedures. Additionally, you will perform other related duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy business intelligence solutions such as reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with multiple cross-functional teams, including both technical and business stakeholders to align solutions with business objectives and technical requirements.
  • Develop and execute database queries and conduct analyses.
  • Automate and optimize data retrieval processes.
  • Develop specifications and prototypes based on business requirements.
  • Lead efforts to analyze and optimize report performance.
  • Help manage reports and information distribution to stakeholders.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity.
  • Stay current with the latest methods and technologies as they relate to business intelligence & reporting including trends in Artificial Intelligence.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal, written and spoken communication skills to facilitate effective work relationships.
  • Manage Firm resources responsibly.
  • Comply with and understand Firm operation, policies and procedures.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in MS SSRS, MS Power BI, Excel, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures, Analysis Services.
  • Demonstrates solid understanding of SQL Databases, data retrieval and relational design.
  • Experience in performance tuning and query optimization.
  • Experience in the legal industry, Aderant Expert (or Elite), and serving finance customers.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team.
  • Demonstrate effective interpersonal and communication skills, both verbally and in writing; ability to convey complex findings and insights to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Demonstrates familiarity in providing dataset to large language models, prompt engineering and related fine tuning practices, this includes implementing data preprocessing techniques to clean, normalize, and augment datasets for generative model training and/or machine learning workloads.
  • Maintains knowledge of current technologies, relevant industry direction(s), and best practices.
  • Demonstrates close attention to detail.
  • Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, organizational, and planning skills.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects and shifting priorities.
  • Ability to handle sensitive matters and maintain confidentiality.
