Barnes-Jewish Hospital at Washington University Medical Center is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to join our team. This hybrid position requires candidates to work 1-2 days a week in the office, focusing on SQL Server, SSIS, and ETL processes. The role is integral to supporting both existing and new reporting and analytics capabilities within a large Clinical Data Warehouse environment. As a Level I trauma center, Barnes-Jewish Hospital is recognized for its excellence in nursing care and is the largest hospital in Missouri, ranked among the nation's top hospitals by U.S. News & World Report. In this hands-on technology role, the Business Intelligence Developer will collaborate directly with architects, analytics and reporting developers, and end users from the BJC clinical community to understand data integration requirements. The position involves working cross-functionally with project team members across the organization to clarify requirements, articulate design considerations, test solutions, and deliver production code using standard toolsets. The developer will be responsible for designing and developing code that supports data integration among clinical systems and the enterprise data warehouse at BJC, adhering to coding standards and participating in regular code reviews. Additionally, the developer will support the production environment on a rotating basis, responding to production incidents, resolving incident tickets, and following up with internal stakeholders. Responsibilities also include maintaining system and code documentation, performing deployment activities to promote new or updated code, and creating and executing test cases for any new or updated code base before deployment to production.
