About the position

The Data Architect position is responsible for providing technical guidance and expertise in developing Power BI dashboards, DAX, data mappings, and monitoring complex data processes. This role requires a strong background in data modeling, report development, and data integration, ensuring that data is accurately represented and accessible to stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Design data models and relationships in Power BI for efficient data retrieval and analysis.
• Create DAX formulas to calculate and summarize data for visualizations.
• Develop interactive and visually appealing reports and dashboards in Power BI.
• Implement complex DAX formulas for calculations, aggregations, and time intelligence.
• Extract, transform, and load data from various sources into Power BI.
• Optimize Power BI reports and DAX calculations for performance improvements.
• Select appropriate visualizations to represent data effectively.
• Implement data security measures within Power BI to protect sensitive information.
• Ensure data accuracy and integrity through validation and cleansing processes.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions.
• Document data models, DAX formulas, and development processes for future reference.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data processes.

Requirements

• At least 5 years of experience in data modeling and analysis, report and dashboard development, and data integration.
• Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent work experience.
• A minimum of 3-5 years of programming/systems analysis experience with emphasis on applications and systems architectural design and development.

Nice-to-haves

• Knowledge of Lottery Systems preferred.
• Working knowledge of data processing principles and terminology.
• Previous experience as a SharePoint developer.
• Extensive knowledge of C#, ASP.NET, and .NET Frameworks.
• Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML5, CSS, XML, jQuery, SQL Server, and Web Services.
