About the position

ECS is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer to support corporate customers in creating and managing business intelligence and analytics solutions. The role involves transforming data into actionable insights, designing dashboards, and ensuring the accuracy and security of sensitive data. The successful candidate will communicate effectively with stakeholders and provide reports that meet business needs while adhering to corporate policies.

Responsibilities

• Support corporate customers with the creation and management of business intelligence and analytics solutions.
• Design and develop dashboards to provide KPIs, visualizations, and reporting that meets the business needs of stakeholders.
• Translate customers' requirements into specifications for report implementation.
• Visually present and communicate data, analyses, and findings to senior and executive level leadership.
• Translate information and data from multiple sources for senior-level and operations level consumption.
• Provide reports that follow structured reporting development procedures ensuring accuracy and security of sensitive data.
• Ensure change control procedures and processes are followed in accordance with corporate policies.
• Undertake regular reviews to ensure report accuracy and run time efficiencies.
• Work under tight deadlines and prioritize workload in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Handle ad hoc requests as needed.

Requirements

• 3+ years developing reports with tools such as Cognos, Power BI, Oracle Analytics, or Tableau.
• Ability to collect, organize, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
• General knowledge of Costpoint processes and experience with Costpoint data sets and relationships.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong understanding of SQL and accounting and finance concepts and process workflows.

Nice-to-haves

• Working knowledge of core business processes.
• Expert level knowledge of Excel.
• Experience working for a government contractor.
• Familiarity with EPBCS / Hyperion.
• Technical reporting certifications.
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
• Familiarity with data warehouse concepts and data modeling.
