About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at The Urban Electric Co. is responsible for developing and maintaining self-service reporting solutions, KPI dashboards, and data visualizations across all business areas. This role involves collaborating with internal clients to assess reporting needs, implementing data governance measures, and providing end-user training, ensuring that data-driven insights are accessible and actionable for the organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain self-service reporting solutions and KPI dashboards.
• Collaborate with internal clients to deliver end-to-end reporting and analytics solutions.
• Assess reporting needs and identify opportunities for improvement.
• Create intuitive documentation and lead user tutorials.
• Develop and design a central reporting repository.
• Participate in data governance committee activities.
• Implement security and data protection measures.
• Assist with DBA tasks as needed.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in developing comprehensive reporting and dashboard solutions.
• Expert level SQL skills.
• Ability to understand and analyze complex data sets.
• Skilled in building data visuals using Power BI.
• Experience with Python or R for developing predictive analytics.
• Familiarity with Google Analytics or Google Data Studio.
• Working knowledge of SSRS or equivalent report writer solutions.
• Data warehouse experience preferred.
• Strong communication skills to interact with all departments and levels of the organization.
• Ability to prioritize workload effectively.
