About the position

Kforce is seeking a Business Intelligence Developer in Saint Louis, MO, who is a customer-minded technologist comfortable with driving change. In this role, you will lead efforts to design data integration and governance architecture and ETL jobs, ensuring data accuracy and usability is maintained at the highest standards. You will be responsible for mapping pertinent fields from the data warehouse to CRM for sales and/or marketing efforts, and you will also lead the development of new data processes and the use of technologies and application development. As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will create and maintain ETL pipelines from various internal and external data sources to our data warehouse using SQL, Microsoft Azure, and Microsoft Access. You will create a data warehouse in SQL environments and develop applications to enhance business processes, such as leveraging RFID scanning technology to capture data for business system work orders. Additionally, you will create data automation processes and audit raw data and ETL jobs to run data quality and validation tests, ensuring high standards of data hygiene. You will manage CRM campaign creation, workflow, and overall execution of the system. Meeting with business stakeholders to understand desired reporting needs and enhancements will be a key part of your role, as you build out the necessary reporting structures to support business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain ETL pipelines from various internal and external data sources to our data warehouse using SQL, Microsoft Azure, Microsoft Access.
  • Create data warehouse in SQL environments.
  • Create applications to enhance business processes such as leveraging RFID scanning technology to capture data to create business system work orders.
  • Create data automation processes.
  • Audit raw data and ETL jobs to run data quality and validation tests; ensure high standards of data hygiene.

Requirements

  • 8 plus years of experience in Computer Science, MIS, or other relevant business discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 5+ years of BI or Data Engineering experience.
  • 3-4 years with hands-on experience equating to expertise and mastery of SQL and similar experience working with relational databases, data warehouses, and CRM systems.
  • Advanced Data Integration and Architecture experience.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Access.
  • Working knowledge of data visualization tools (Power BI preferred) for internal reporting is a plus.
  • In-depth understanding of sales, marketing, business processes, and how they relate to the business software.
  • Advanced knowledge of BI tools for data analytics, visualization and reporting.
  • Advanced knowledge of Data Modeling; ability to assimilate requirements into conceptual/logical data models across information management solutions (relational, Dimensional/Columnar, document).
  • Strong knowledge of Agile Methodologies.
  • Advanced knowledge of best practices and standards for BI development.
  • Strong analytic skills related to working with unstructured datasets, API data extraction and web scraping applications.
  • Strong critical thinking, analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Manages complexity to effectively find solutions and solves problems.
  • Drives results by consistently achieving completion and closure of tasks, even in the face of obstacles and setbacks.
  • Adaptive personality and ability to function in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrated desire to learn and develop professionally are crucial ingredients to this role.
  • Prior managerial/supervisory experience preferred.
  • Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience (CRM) is a plus.
