About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Booz Allen Hamilton is responsible for creating end-to-end solutions in a fast-paced environment. This role involves developing data collection tools, designing dashboards, performing data validation, and creating data visualizations to support decision-making. The developer will collaborate with technical teams to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of data solutions, while also identifying system improvements and utilizing the latest technologies to address client challenges.

Responsibilities

• Develop end-to-end solutions for business intelligence.
• Design and implement data collection tools and techniques.
• Create and iterate dashboards based on customer feedback.
• Perform data discovery, cleansing, validation, and relationship management.
• Design data visualization mock-ups and prototypes based on customer requirements.
• Ensure data visualizations provide appropriate context for decision-making.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to communicate solutions and present project work.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in Business Intelligence.
• Experience with Python, T-SQL, and SQL.
• Experience creating visual reports in Power BI or other business intelligence software.
• Experience with data modeling philosophies, such as Kimbal, and data orchestration tools, such as AirFlow or Dagster.
• Experience with Machine Learning algorithms.
• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence in lieu of a degree.

• Experience in the VA.
• Experience developing ETL scripts for data automation.
• Experience with virtual machine configuration and testing.
• Experience developing custom Power BI Apps.
• Experience developing custom Microsoft Power Apps.
• Experience with software test tools, including Coverity, Code Sonar, or Fortify.
• Experience with Git Hub and Azure Dev Ops.
• Experience with C/C++ programming language.
• Experience implementing ML algorithms.
