As a Business Intelligence Developer, you will play a crucial role in the development, maintenance, and enhancement of our client's information reporting systems. This position is designed for a full-time, long-term remote contract, allowing you to work from anywhere while contributing to the organization's strategic data initiatives. Your primary focus will be on ensuring efficient data storage and providing innovative solutions to improve database management. You will collaborate with various teams to identify opportunities for improvement and implement a long-term strategy for data storage and management. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and enhancing SQL database objects, including stored procedures and functions. You will also address and resolve database performance issues to ensure system reliability. Constructing and managing data warehouses will be a key part of your responsibilities, integrating necessary business rules. Additionally, you will document processes, create reference materials, and maintain workflow documentation for system operations. Monitoring industry trends in database systems will be essential to inform strategic planning and provide expert advice. You will estimate project timelines and resource requirements for database-related tasks, utilizing tools such as KACE and Team Foundation Server (TFS) for organizational request management, progress tracking, and code version control. Providing technical support for IT projects and training IT staff when required will also be part of your duties. You will explore and assess new technologies and tools for potential adoption and development improvements, working autonomously while demonstrating effective communication and documentation skills. Supporting the evolution of Informatics functional architecture and system designs to fulfill organizational needs will be a significant aspect of your role, along with performing additional duties as needed to support the Informatics and IT teams.
