About the position

Kearney & Company is seeking an experienced Business Intelligence Developer to join their team. This role focuses on creating data models, data pipelines, and dashboard visualization solutions that support mission-critical operations. The position is specifically for the DC Metro area, requiring collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the successful execution of BI projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead discussions around scope of work and technical requirements definitions with non-technical stakeholders.
• Manage and implement changes in BI projects.
• Design and develop data models.
• Develop & maintain data visualizations, charts, and dashboards for end-users.
• Deploy automated and semi-automated pipelines to supply BI solutions with data.
• Deploy BI solutions in cloud environments.
• Optimize system performance through regular assessments and action plans.
• Collaborate with multiple teams and stakeholders to ensure excellence in objectives and deliverables.
• Stay updated with BI product enhancements and best practices, ensuring BI standards are maintained.

Requirements

• Must currently possess or have held Public Trust clearance or higher
• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• Minimum of 1 certification in either Tableau or Microsoft PowerBI
• Minimum of 6 years' experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
• Minimum of 3 years of experience building complex data models
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a technology consultant for Federal government clients
• Strong communication skills, detail-oriented mindset, and commitment to high-quality outcomes
• Residency in the DC Metro area with availability to work onsite in Washington, D.C. and Alexandria, VA for 1 day per week.

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree in a related field
• Proficiency in database systems, SQL queries, and programming languages like R or Python
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret Clearance
