About the position

The Business Intelligence Developer at Community Credit Union of Florida plays a crucial role in enhancing the financial well-being of members by delivering exceptional service and developing analytical programs. This position involves analyzing, developing, and updating application programs, providing technical direction, and supporting the creation of custom reports. The role requires creativity, independent judgment, and a strong commitment to the organization's mission and values.

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering outstanding service to internal and external members.
• Analyze, develop, and write new application and analytical programs.
• Update existing application programs and provide technical direction.
• Perform complex programming tasks using approved development tools.
• Maintain database data integrity and ensure daily data loads occur.
• Prepare reports on system performance and problems for senior management.
• Develop methods for data accumulation, extraction, delivery, and storage.
• Create ad-hoc reports and document coding logic for systems and reports.
• Act as a liaison between the Business Intelligence Unit and other departments.
• Develop and refine models and machine learning algorithms.
• Implement metrics for assessing model performance and deploy models with the BIU team.
• Build new visualizations and dashboards per user requirements.
• Work with Access databases and convert them into SQL databases.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university or equivalent experience.
• 5 to 8 years of related experience in software applications support.
• 2 to 5 years of experience with visualization tools like Power BI or Tableau.
• 2 to 5 years of experience with SSIS and SSRS.
• Proficient in SQL and other programming languages.
• In-depth expertise in data mining, predictive modeling, and statistical analysis.
• Ability to translate non-technical user requests into technical specifications.
• Familiarity with financial services environment and compliance regulations.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Spotfire is preferable.
• Understanding of Episys and Advanced Reporting for Credit Unions (ARCU).
