About the position

As a Business Intelligence Engineer on this team, you will get the exciting opportunity to work with senior marketing leadership to understand their business requirements and deliver solutions and actionable insight. Our team is serious about great design and redefining best practices with a cloud-based approach to scalability and automation. A successful candidate will be a person who enjoys diving deep into data analysis, discovering root causes, and implementing long-term solutions. You will help customize business policies and processes while developing new metrics and functionality. Sales, Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services. In this role, you will uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve our marketing performance. You will collaborate and partner across the organization to develop best practices for your function and advocate for improvements in enterprise-wide tools. You will own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions. Recognizing and adopting best practices in reporting and analysis, including data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation, will be crucial to your success.

Responsibilities

  • Uncover trends and correlations to develop insights that can materially improve our marketing performance
  • Collaborate and partner across the organization to develop best practices for your function and advocate for improvements in enterprise-wide tools
  • Own the design, development, and maintenance of ongoing performance metrics, reports, analyses, dashboards, etc. to drive key business decisions
  • Recognize and adopt best practices in reporting and analysis: data integrity, test design, analysis, validation, and documentation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience
  • Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools
  • Experience with one or more industry analytics visualization tools (e.g. Excel, Tableau, QuickSight, MicroStrategy, PowerBI) and statistical methods (e.g. t-test, Chi-squared)
  • Experience with scripting language (e.g., Python, Java, or R)

Nice-to-haves

  • Master's degree, or Advanced technical degree
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design
  • Experience with statistical analysis, co-relation analysis
