About the position

The Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) for DSP Analytics at Amazon is responsible for uncovering actionable insights to enhance the delivery experience within the Delivery Service Partner (DSP) program. This role involves defining the analytics roadmap, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and building decision-driven analytics solutions that are critical to Amazon's delivery operations. The BIE will work on improving the overall business health of DSP programs by analyzing complex datasets and developing high-quality data architectures and reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Build high quality data architecture and ETL data pipelines using SQL, Scripting and other ETL tools.
• Retrieve and analyze data using a broad set of Amazon's data technologies (e.g., Redshift, AWS S3).
• Design, build, and maintain automated reporting, dashboards, and ongoing analysis to enable data-driven decisions.
• Report key insight trends using statistical rigor to inform the team of noteworthy trends impacting the business.
• Work closely with business stakeholders and leadership to define the analytics roadmap and data solutions structure.
• Earn the trust of customers and stakeholders by addressing their business use cases and data needs.

Requirements

• 2+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL experience.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience with industry analytics visualization tools (e.g., Excel, Tableau, QuickSight) and statistical methods (e.g., t-test, Chi-squared).
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java, or R).

Nice-to-haves

• Master's degree or advanced technical degree.
• Knowledge of data modeling and data pipeline design.
• Experience with statistical analysis and correlation analysis.
• Experience with auto insurance, insurance claims, and safety domain.
