About the position

The Business Intelligence Engineer (BIE) role within the Last Mile Under The Roof (UTR) Planning Analytics team at Amazon focuses on designing and implementing metrics models that drive continuous improvement in Amazon's global delivery operations. This position is critical in managing a supply chain of vehicles that facilitate the delivery of billions of packages annually, ensuring operational efficiency and effectiveness across multiple organizations and geographies.

Responsibilities

• Lead and influence business-critical decisions with metrics and insights.
• Work with technology and analytics teams to develop tools, automation, and dashboards.
• Engineer critical input and output metrics across the full operations spectrum.
• Create process performance metrics to measure operational performance and identify root causes and trends.
• Manage metrics across multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicate with and support various internal stakeholders and external audiences.

Requirements

• 3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL, etc.
• Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools.
• Experience with data modeling, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines.
• Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS, and Matlab.
• Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift.
• Experience in data mining, ETL, etc., and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets.
