About the position

Robert Half is seeking a Business Intelligence (BI) Engineer for a full-time position in Sarasota, FL. This role involves leading technical projects, supporting business intelligence development, and ensuring data integrity and quality. The BI Engineer will work with various data visualization tools and maintain data governance strategies while providing training and support to customers and IT staff.

Responsibilities

• Actively participate as project lead in software and hardware upgrades, keeping management informed of progress and obstacles.
• Advise management and provide recommendations on technical and project issues.
• Perform data cleansing, data integrity, data analysis, and data management.
• Develop and maintain data visualization and reporting efforts using tools like MS Power BI or Tableau.
• Maintain data governance strategies to promote data literacy and quality throughout the organization.
• Assist in implementing and maintaining data structures and models for relational and non-relational data using various platforms and tools.
• Conduct statistical data analysis for descriptive, diagnostic, prescriptive, and predictive modeling and reporting.
• Develop and maintain documentation for customers and IT staff using tools like Azure DevOps and Azure Purview.
• Identify opportunities for data acquisition and interpret trends to enhance data quality and reliability.
• Provide 24/7 application support during on-call time.
• Participate in technical designs to ensure compliance with business requirements and specifications.
• Provide training to customers and IT staff on programs and systems.
• Maintain working knowledge of customers' operations and business needs through communication and documentation review.
• Attend training classes, conferences, and workshops to increase knowledge in relevant skills and technologies.
• Participate in user groups and self-instruction to stay updated on industry developments.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Power BI or Tableau.
• Experience with SSAS/SSIS.
• Strong knowledge of T-SQL, DAX, M-Code, and Python.
• Eligibility for full-time hours on W2 and local to Sarasota for a hybrid schedule.
